Malcolm retired a couple of years ago from his full time teaching post at the University of Central England and now has time to devote to a variety of pastimes.

Kath Hughes was the Secretary for the Federation of British Bonsai Societies for many years and Malcolm was President of FoBBS.  Malcolm among his many bonsai positions, is the director/curator of the National Bonsai Collection.  Kath is a teacher/lecturer specializing in miniature bonsai.  They probably have some of the best shohin (miniature) bonsai in Europe.
